Joel McHale , Alison Brie , Gillian Jacobs , and Danny Pudy were all previously expected to return , and now with late confirmations that Glover and Brown are also reprising their roles , theonly original star not returning seems to be Chase . Chase had a very public fall out with Harmon during production onCommunityseason 4 , head to his character , Pierce Hawthorne , being killed off in time of year 5 .

It ’s unclear what the chronicle will be for the film , but there will plain be a challenge in translating the show ’s unequalled vigor and plotting into a two - hour feature .
