Thanos and Hulk have faced off legion time in the comics , but this is their most late confrontations against each other .
This one ends in much the same way as their other battle . Thanos wins , but compared to most of their battles , either onscreen or on - control panel , the bout is a lot secretive than expected .
Hulk and Thanos are Evenly Matched for Once
The longtime object of Thanos ' heart , Mistress Death , has been hidden on Earthunder the human identity operator of Roberta Marshall , someone who is certain they are just a mild - mannered goth in the eye of Fresno , California . However , not one to be deny of what he wants , peculiarly when it comes to decease , Thanos tracks her down and is quick to loose chaos across the city to get ahold of her . The only force protect Roberta is the Illuminati , and even they bed they ’re not enough to stop Thanos . They resolve their best plan is to call " The Big Stick . "
And so , " The Big Stick " get in the form of Hulk to reignite an old feud with an old foe . AsThanos dispatches both Doctor Strangeand Iron Man with ease , it ’s Hulk ’s rescue that prove to be the deciding factor in this battle . The two behemoths go back and onward with each other , but it seems evident that the engagement feels at least slightly in Hulk ’s favour . Ultimately , a critical and desperate backhand strike from Thanos pose an end to the fight ( for now at least ) , but it ’s secure to say that Hulk gets the better of him for most of the fight .
Even Without a Win, At Least Hulk Doesn’t Look Terrible
Even though Hulk does n’t gain , an even fight is in force than the one - sided affray that Hulk is used to . Whenever Thanos and Hulk receive , most fights end with Hulk getting thrashed . Hulk may not come out of their fights looking as high-risk for wearing as he did onscreen , but oftentimes , even in the funnies , the word " engagement " is used loosely between them . This issue , though , showcases a true fight where both men are evenly equalise . Perhaps it ’s a signal thatHulkis in truth strong than he ’s ever been now , but at least he does n’t look like a chump againstThanosfor once .
