Jesse Eisenberg
Screen bombast : This is your 2d time writing and place a feature article plastic film . How would you say you ’ve evolve as a film producer sinceWhen You Finish Saving The World ?
Jesse Eisenberg : It ’s hard to exactly pinpoint how I have buzz off better as a director because this movie allow so many logistic challenges . It ’s a flick that has a small budget but is whopping in scope . We ’re at two airports . We are on airplane , we are on geartrain , we are on buses and cars in repository that are the center of multiple cities . It ’s this huge movie in range .
My challenges on this one are , I think , challenge that I ’ll never face again because to do a low - budget , independent film with a scope like this is really strange . fortuitously , I had some of the greatest artisans in the world . Poland is a hotbed for some of the majuscule filmmakers in the world . There ’s a motion picture shoal where multitude from England and people from Denmark come to Poland just to take Polish and give ear this film school . I ca n’t ideate a good crew in all of Europe .

Kieran Culkin
Screen Rant : Jesse Eisenberg is not only your costar in this motion-picture show but also your theater director . Did you chance yourself having any cousin pettifog with him on set ?
Kieran Culkin : We did n’t have fuss , he and I , but it ’s so funny because I think as role player on set , we gelled pretty well . But as film director and worker , there was a small bit of friction . Not bad ; it was never disconfirming . It was just that we ferment differently . We had a bumpy couple of Clarence Day or weeks or something where I still thought we were getting the work , but it was knotty .
I started trying to do it all his way , and then I could n’t so he tried to do it my way , and then we had to detect this middle priming coat that ended up working really well . But it ’s tough to do a scene with somebody who ’s then , right after the view , going to give you notes .

A Real Pain explores themes of identity and loss as two estranged families confront their shared and tumultuous pasts. Through intertwining narratives, the film delves into the complexities of familial relationships and the enduring impact of unresolved grief.
Pedro Pascal has saidhe ’s willing to purchase the hatchet [ after the Emmys ] and would sleep with to work with you . Is that something you ’d be up for ?
Kieran Culkin : I would love to work with him , yeah .
Jennifer Grey
Screen Rant : What excited you most about the screenplay forA Real Pain ?
Jennifer Grey : The second I saw that it was from Jesse Eisenberg - pen by , going to be directed by , and starring him and Kieran Culkin ? I just said , " Yes ! " I looked at the opening contrast in the electronic mail , and I was like , " Done . " It ’ll shoot in Poland , and you ’ll be plump to a denseness camp ? Okay , done . Do I need to interpret it ? I guess so .
The matter is , usually when we get a script , you need to take it and it feels like some millstone . But this read was rattling . I called my managing director , like , " Yes . Just yes . " They ’re like , " Well , he wants to run into with you . " Then we met , and I just pass in love . I love smart , funny , kind , rich people . Everybody on this job is that .

It ’s a dream to be with masses who are so skilful at what they do . So smart . So funny . But a lot of the great unwashed like that can be d - cks . There are a fate of talented d - cks in this business but these guys created this warm , endless energy of being secure . Jesse really knows what he want , and his presence is so reassuring . And I just found it so great to watch them bring and to be capable to act with that caliber of histrion .
We have been awaitingDirty Dancing 2with bated breathing spell . Is there anything you could narrate me on that front ?
Jennifer Grey : I can not speak to that because it ’s still in growing , and I ca n’t tell you anything now . But I I will when it ’s prison term .

Will Sharpe
Will Sharpe : I gauge , merely put , it was the script . That was my first way of engaging with it . I got transmit Jesse ’s script , and I thought it was a attractively deft , comic , elegant script that also had moving and profound things to say about identity and making sense of our inheritance . Then I met with Jesse and really savour let the cat out of the bag with him , so I want to be a part of it .
It ’s always interesting to have a fellow histrion in the theater director ’s chair . What do you think his style brought to the project ?
Will Sharpe : He was always very prepared . He had a raft of aid to item , was very focused , and a very clean director , but also very collaborative and open . I found him to be very empathic and very tuned into everyone ’s feelings . But it was a very easy shoot for us . There were no real egos on set and we all just kind of became this little family doing the duty tour .

WithThe White Lotusseason 3coming upon us , would you ever require to see Ethan return ?
Will Sharpe : I mean , surely , if Mike White require me to !
